Description

Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić

raises funds for Veljko (2013) and Aleksa (2007) Jovanović.

Veljko and Aleksa suffer from spinal muscular atrophy.

Veljko was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, type 3 when he was two years old.

Parents noticed that it was difficult for him to climb the stairs and to get up from the floor. He also felt the pain in both hips. Veljko does not have muscle weakness in his sitting and lying position, but he needs a support when he wants to stand up or sit down.

Aleksa was also diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, but type 2. He used to walk with difficulties until his ninth year. This disease is very progressive, and the older he gets, it disables more his breathing, movement and eating. He attends the third grade of elementary school, where he fits in perfectly, he is an excellent student and going to school makes him really happy.

Fortunately, cure for this disease has been discovered. It is very effective and stops progression. Unfortunately, the family has exhausted all the financial sources and they need our help to provide them with an adequate medicines and make these two brothers develop normally and have a happier childhood.

Help Veljko and Aleksa!

For Veljko’s and Aleksa's future! Let's be humane!
