raises funds for Strahinja Mišić (2019).

 

Strahinja is the first child born after a properly maintained  pregnancy. Shortly after the birth, the pediatrician noticed that he was weak, so Strahinja started exercising gymnastics in order to strengthen the muscles and establish control over the neck muscles.

 

Due to diagnosed hypotonia and dystonia when he was 5 months old  he started with physical therapy (Vojta exercises) and kinesitherapy. In addition, he was diagnosed with a delay in psychomotor development. Since then, Strahinja has been exercising and practicing hard, however, progress has been slow.

 

Parents are intensively searching for Strahinja's diagnosis, in order to receive adequate treatment. His symptoms indicated a very rare genetic neurometabolic disease. They are currently awaiting the results of a sequenced genome that will confirm the diagnosis.

 

Strahinja is a sweet, smiling and cheerful boy who progresses slowly with persistent work and has the potential to one day start walking, speaking, running and  to replace time in hospitals and therapies, with playing in the playground with his peers.

 

Strahinja needs funds for intensive physical therapy, specialist examinations, rehabilitation, speech therapy and special education treatments, feeding therapies, sensory stimulation, neurofeedback, pet therapy, supplements and laboratory analyzes.

 

Parents ask all humane people to help, because so far, they have financed all the costs of treatment and now they have exhausted all resources.
