raises funds for Ognjen Milčić (2016).

Ognjen was born on January 21, 2016 in Leskovac after a properly maintained and controlled pregnancy. He developed like any other healthy child. He went to kindergarten, enjoyed playing. There was no indication that he had any health problems.

In May 2020, Ognjen had morning sickness accompanied by vomiting and loss of balance. Doctors suspected  that it was the stomach virus then otitis media.

After returning home, it was getting worse. Ognjen complained of pain in both legs.

The parents went to the ENT in Nis, which gave them a referral to a neurologist. During a specialist examination with a scanner, it was determined that Ognjen had hydrocephalus, after which he was urgently transferred to the University Children's Hospital in Tirsova in Belgrade in order to have a VP shunt installed.

After the installation of the VP shunt, the parents were informed that Ognjen had a frightening diagnosis, a diffuse leptomeningeal glioneuronal tumor, which is not operative and affects the meninges and spinal cord.

Genetic analysis showed that the therapy Ognjen was receiving was not effective. In the meantime, he  lost his  sight. There are no more favorite cartoons and colors in his world.

It was the hardest thing for his parents to explain to him why he was not able to see anymore…

Ognjen has to continue his treatment abroad as soon as possible.

Regardless of everything, Ognjen is a cheerful boy who does not take a smile off his face. In order to continue with the treatment, he needs our help.

He needs funds for treatment in the country and abroad, for specialist and control examinations, rehabilitation in spas, diagnostics, surgical procedures, therapies, drugs, supplements, preparations for a special diet, traveling  and accommodation costs.
