raises funds for Biljana Radonić (1982)

In October 2019, Biljana was hospitalized at the gynecology department of the general hospital in Sombor for surgical treatment of the tumor-altered right ovary, when the operation was performed, in a regular manner. She was diagnosed with an ovary  tumor (D39.1 Neoplasma ovarii dex.)

After specialist examinations in January 2020, the Institute of Oncology of Vojvodina’s oncology commission stated that the finding corresponded to a disseminated malignant disease with secondary deposits in the peritoneum, mesentery, and a conglomerate of retroperitoneal In in the renal region. Cystic changes of the left ovary, a smaller volume of free fluid along the small intestine, as well as perisplenic and perihepatic changes were also observed, and the implementation of chemotherapy in the competent health center was indicated. In August 2021, after the completion of the second line of chemotherapy, a follow-up examination showed that there were no signs of recurrence or dissemination in the pelvis. She continued the treatment according to the prescribed protocols, and the control examination showed an enlarged liver with multiple metabolically active tumor deposits, an increase in the number and diameter of the previously seen FDG-avid single and confluent lymph nodes of the PR. The MRI findings from May 2023 showed that the condition after adnexectomy was on the right without signs of local recurrence. It was  indicated  to continue treatment with hormone therapy for two months.

Biljana plans to continue her treatment abroad, where she has already received the first chemotherapy of a total of three, but since receiving this therapy requires considerable funds, Biljana is asking  all generous people to help her in order to collect the necessary amount of money as soon as possible and continue the treatment.

Funds are needed for chemotherapy, laboratory analyses, specialist examinations, medicines, as well as for travel and accommodation costs during the treatment.
