Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Radmila Đuranović (1972).
Radmila’s first problems appeared in the spring of 2012 when she had severe abdominal pain. Then she was diagnosed with a liver tumor and in the following December she had surgery at the First Surgical Clinic in Belgrade, when the entire tumor was removed. Following surgery and histopathological findings confirmed that it was hepatocellular carcinoma.
After two years, appeared a recidive that was not possible to remove surgically and at that time the consilium prescribed treatment with chemoembolization of the tumor that had short term effect and it was repeated in 2015.
The cancer continued to spread and after the second chemoembolization it was found that this type of treatment did not give any results, so eleven-month chemotherapy with Nexavar 200 mg started. In September 2019 National Health Insurance Fund’s commission terminated the therapy due to the progression of the disease. After consultation with an oncologist at the Military Medical Academy Clinic, it was explained that Nexavar was only the first phase of treatment for hepatocellular cancer. At that time, she was prescribed with Stivarga tablets, which can only be purchased abroad and their price is € 2800 per month.
Radmila bought the first dose with her own funds and started treatment, and now she asks all the humane people to help her to complete the treatment. During her treatment, she found a clinic in Russia that helps patients with chemotherapy by boosting their immune system, where she was offered six cycles of treatment in the following two years.
Radmila and her family are asking all humane people to help as much as they can and donate funds and thus help Rada to be healthy again.
For Radmila to defeat a vicious disease! Let's be humane!
