Maksim was born on 13 August 2015 in Belgrade after a properly maintained and controlled pregnancy. He was discharged from the maternity hospital as a healthy child. There was no indication that he would have serious health problems during his childhood.

Maksim is a boy who has not spoken to this day. From the moment the parents noticed that something was wrong, they visited many institutions in the hope that they would find out what was wrong.

With a detailed diagnosis, he was diagnosed with F84.9 (pervasive developmental disorder with elements of autism).

After going abroad to a clinic in Moscow, Maksim was diagnosed with muscular dystonia (involuntary movements, muscle spasms), celiac disease, lactose intolerance and Arnold-Chiari ACM malformation (developmental anomaly of the brain stem).

All these diagnoses include numerous difficulties that make life difficult for this boy and his family for years. Maxim needs care and supervision 24 hours a day, help with feeding, dressing, social interaction.

For five years, Maksim has been traveling from Obrenovac to Belgrade for special education and speech therapy treatments, somatopedic therapies, physical treatments because he has difficulty moving and often gets botulinum injections in his legs in order to reduce spasms.

In addition to numerous specialist examinations in the country and attempts for treatment, the parents decided to continue Maksim's treatment in Russia. During an examination in August 2021, doctors at the Neuroimmunological Clinic discovered by magnetic resonance imaging that Maxim has a rare anomaly (ACM) that can be operated on.

All these years, the parents have independently financed the costs of Maxim's treatment and exhausted all resources, so they are now asking all humane people to help them.

He needs funds for treatment abroad, surgery, specialist and control examinations, spa rehabilitation, physical therapy, special education and speech therapy treatments, orthopedic aids, laboratory analyzes, medicines and supplements, dental services, quantum and homeopathic therapies, educational workshops (Tomatis) neurofeedback treatments, five therapies, dolphin and swimming therapies. He also needs funds for translation services during treatment abroad, travelling and accommodation costs.
