Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Iva Dukić (2011).
Iva was born with Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), second and third degree. Within a month, she was given a temperature, she was sent to a hospital where she was diagnosed with vesicoureteral reflux, which is an abnormal urine flow from the bladder to the kidney.
She was operated in November 2015 and since then there have been complications caused by remaining urine in the bladder after urinating, which creates perfect conditions for the microbes growth and urinary infections.
After numerous urinary infections, ultrasound detected kidney damage with the micro-cysts, which means cysts penetrate the kidneys and destroy their function, sometimes they even stop them. Further analyzes revealed that it was an autoimmune disease that was also confirmed by genetic testing.
The costs for analyzes are large because they had been done in private medical institutions, and family financial resources has been spent . Time is running out, and Iva's body weakens. Her kidneys are endangered by the return of infected urine to the kidneys. Let’s provide Iva with means for further diagnosis, the necessary therapies that she has been already taking, and for the surgery too.
