Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Nemanja Maček (2015).
In the first three months everything was fine, in the fourth month when he was supposed to catch items and to be interested in the environment he did not do it, that was the first alarm to his mother. Three months later, doctors noticed that his reactions were poor so he was examined. Closer examination showed an insufficient brain development.
When he was a year old, MR showed brain underdevelopment and Nemanja was diagnosed with microcephaly that caused cerebral hypotonia and epilepsy. In his twelfth month he had the first epileptic seizure and bad reactions to the anti-epileptic medications afterwards.
In October 2017, he started treatment at the Neurology and Child Psychiatric Clinic when a new medication was introduced, and finally seizures ceased after a year of fighting with them. Stimulation, physical, work and other therapies related to brain development are the most helpful to Nemanja.
Nemanja is at the age when he needs constant exercises, because his senses are turning on slightly. She still cannot sit, walk, or speak and he also has a visual impairment. He becomes interested in the environment and he must not be stopped now. The family asks for help so that Nemanja can develop faster, stand on his feet and compensate the lost time.
