Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Irina Petrović (2012).
Irina is the second twin from the first pregnancy, prematurely born in the sixth month. Irina's sister, unfortunately, did not survive. After her birth she was transferred to the Institute for Neonatology, she spent 52 hours on mechanical ventilation, and then twenty-six days in oxygen therapy.
Irina was so small that she could fit in a hand with just 880 grams. For two months she fought for life with numerous complications, and doctors came from other countries to see her because they did not believe that she wanted so much to survive. Her diagnosis is a spastic diplegic cerebral palsy.
It's time for Irina to go to school, and her feet do not obey very well. It is necessary for her to have surgery so that she can walk easier. She needs our help to continue her tireless struggle and bring her winning smile to this world, as her parents say that her smile is needed to this world more than ever.
