Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Petar Lađević (2017).
Peter is a child from normal pregnancy, born with Caesarean section because of the pelvic position. From the second month he began with a neck exercises because of Torticollis prescribed in University Children’s Hospital Tiršov. A month later, Petar's condition remained unchanged and he was sent to Sokobanjska Rehabilitation Center where his hypotonia was diagnosed, but his hands had a variable musical tone, they were often closed.
After a few months, he was sent for further research at the Institute for Mother and Child because team of experts suspected that there was a change in the HPRT gene. Petar's parents sent blood to genetic research abroad and received a positive result - confirmation of uric acid disorders - Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, which is an extremely rare disease.
The syndrome is distinguished by self-injury, hypotonia, mental retardation, kidney disease, and children are mainly in a wheelchair.
Petar is mentally preserved, but he cannot sit, crawl, walk and he can hardly use his hands. Otherwise, he is very happy baby beside everything that bothers him, he likes cartoons, songs for children, and most of all he likes animals.
Petar needs many exercises that require a significant amount of money, then medicines that can regulate acid and different medical aids for exercises. Let's give Petar normal childhood and let’s try to put together our forces for him to stand on his feet.
