Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Sofija Živković (2016).
Sofija was born as a hypotonic baby, with a score of nine. She went out of the hospital as a healthy baby, until the first seizures occurred in her fifth month.
After the first EEG examination, Sofija was found to be suffering from West Syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy. Sofija had thirty seizures a day after the introduction of her first antiepileptic medicine.
Now, Sofija is physically and mentally in delay, she doesn’t sit, talk or follow with her look.
She needs physical therapy and rehabilitation here and abroad, continuous work with a speech therapist and a defectologist, various medical equipment, appliances and orthopedic aids. She also needs supplements and medical supplies, examinations and diagnostics, as well as means for travelling and accommodation costs abroad, because every treatment shows improvement.
