Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Almir Demiri (2018).
Almir was hospitalized on June 18, 2020 at the Institute for Mother and Child Healthcare of Serbia "Dr Vukan Čupić" at the Department of Cardiology due to pneumonia and tachycardia. He was diagnosed with tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy and with a rare form of supraventricular tachycardia.
Furthermore, it was necessary to carry out treatment that was not done in our country at the pediatric age, therefore the documentation was sent to prof. Carlo Papone at the San Donato polyclinic in Milan, where he was planned to continue the treatment. Professor Papone accepted the case and Almir and his mother should go to the mentioned polyclinic, for further treatment and recovery.
Considering the age of the child and the nature of the disease, the child needs a companion - a parent all the time during the treatment. The costs of treatment, therapy and transportation are covered by the National Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia, while the costs of the mother's stay in the hospital during the child's treatment are not covered.
Almir's parents are not employed and are not able to pay the necessary costs.
