Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Luka Nešić (2016).
Luka was born at the end of 31st week of pregnancy with 1500 grams. Due to his premature birth, he was treated at the Institute of Neonatology in Belgrade, where he had been for two months. The consequence of the lack of oxygen caused grade 1 brain hemorrhage and cysts too.
From the fourth month, Luka's fight started, when he began doing exercises every day. The treatment was continued in the Clinic for Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović", during which he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Once a year, Luka goes to therapy in Banja Koviljača. Luka struggles with muscle tone disorders on a daily basis, and physical activities help him to only partially mitigate the consequences of his condition. Despite the diagnosis, Luka is mentally healthy, he can talk, sit and crawl on his own.
Despite all the problems he is facing, Luka is happy and cheerful. He is persistent and goes on bravely. In order to walk and become more independent, he needs orthopedic aids, daily work with therapists. He needs funds for specialist examinations, spine surgery and rehabilitation abroad. Any donation would help and would be a step closer to surgery and Luke’s first independent step.
For Luka's first independent steps! Let's be humane!
