Adrijan was born in 2007 in Belgrade. From his birth, his struggle for life and for diagnosis began. In addition to numerous health problems with the nervous system, heart, kidneys, vision, general hypotension, osteoporosis, spinal and foot deformities, Adrijan also got epilepsy in the seventh year. At the age of eight, his parents found out that his underlying disease was ATR-X syndrome (a rare genetic disease caused by a gene mutation). At the age of twelve, he had a gastrostomy implanted due to malnutrition.

Adrijan is not able to walk, sit independently, speak, or play with toys. He completely depends on someone else’s help. He likes to listen to music, to go for a walk with his wheelchair. When he is happy and when nothing hurts, he just laughs. That smile illuminates even the gloomiest day for his parents.

Due to the great curvature of the spine, Adrijan needs a special car seat. He also needs funds for specialist examinations and check-ups, dental interventions, physical treatments, laboratory analyzes, medical equipment, medicines and supplements.
