Petar was born from twin pregnancy (first twin) on 21 July 2018 in the 25th gestational week of pregnancy by caesarean section. He weighed only 810 grams at birth. Immediately after birth, he was intubated and connected to mechanical ventilation. At that time, he fights various infections and sepsis, intervention on the eyes, cerebrospinal fluid puncture due to enlargement of the ventricles, as a consequence of cerebral hemorrhage 3/4 degree.

When he was only 2.5 months old, he was urgently transferred from the Institute of Neonatology to the University Children's Hospital in Tiršova, where he underwent surgery and had an ileostomy removed which was used while he was resuscitated. As a consequence of cerebral hemorrhage, Petra was diagnosed with two diagnoses, cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He is being treated at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology in Belgrade and at the University Children’s Hospital Tiršova.

In order to progress and get the most out of his abilities, he needs to go to Ukraine for stem cell treatment. He also needs funds for specialist examinations and diagnostics, speech therapy, special education and psychological treatments, orthopedic aids, for travelling and accommodation costs.
