raises funds for Nina Perišić (2012).

Nina was born on 19 May 2012 in Čačak after regularly controlled pregnancy. In the first months,  it was noticed that she had a lower muscle tone of  her legs, so she was prescribed physical exercises. She was soon diagnosed with nystagmus (involuntary, trembling eye movements). She was sent by her pediatrician for detailed examinations and diagnostics to the Institute for Mother and Child in Belgrade. Magnetic resonance imaging  showed that Nina had hypoplasia of the corpus callosum (an abnormality of the part of the brain that connects the two cerebral hemispheres).

Doctor recommended that a genetic test should be done. The sample was sent to Barcelona. The results showed that Nina had a "frameshift," a gene mutation caused by the insertion or deletion of one or more nucleotides from a DNA sequence. The parents were told that Nina would need stimulation in every form (physical therapy, speech therapy and special education treatments) for the rest of her life.

Since then, their struggle has been going on. Nina spent most of the year with her mother at the Sokobanjska Special Hospital in Belgrade for rehabilitation. Sometimes she was there for  6 months. Nina is now 9 years old. She walks independently for short distances but unstably. Regardless of all problems, she is a cheerful, happy and smart girl who loves to sing and play. Nina has an older sister whom she adores. She goes to the first grade of primary school where she attends regular classes accompanied by an assistant. She likes to go to school and spend time with friends.

In order to have a better childhood, to play with her friends in the park, to be able to run with them, she needs neurophysical robotics therapy. She needs the funds for surgery, rehabilitation, physical treatment, for travelling and accommodation costs  both in the country and abroad.

Unfortunately, her parents are not able to finance Nina's treatment, so they ask all humane people to help as much as they can.
