Aleksandra was born on 29 October 2019 in Belgrade. She was born prematurely in the 29th gestational week of pregnancy. She spent three months in an incubator at the Institute of Neonatology in Belgrade. Complications at birth caused severe bleeding in Aleksandra's brain, which was tried to be stopped by a lumbar puncture, but her condition worsened and the ventricles and pressure on the brain expanded. She was installed  with a subcutaneous reservoir and soon after with a VP shunt.

Aleksandra was treated at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology in Belgrade. At first she was  diagnosed with hydrocephalus, then disharmonious development. She was on oxygen for a long time and struggled with convulsions. She is still  not  able to come to a sitting position or to walk.

Regardless of everything, Aleksandra is a cheerful girl full of life. In order to progress in treatment, to stand on her own  feet, to enjoy playing with her sister, she needs daily physical treatments and treatment in a spa too. She also needs funds for orthopedic aids, speech therapy and special education treatments, stem cell transplantation and for travelling and accommodation costs.

Her parents ask all humane people to help them, as much as anyone can, so that Aleksandra can start treatment as soon as possible.
