In August 2018, Isidora had a sudden cardiac arrest. With the quick intervention of the ambulance team, she was resuscitated and her life functions were restored, but a further 16-day fight followed because Isidora went into a coma. After waking up from a coma, which was uncertain all the time, it turned out that cardiac arrest led to permanent brain damage.

At first, she could not swallow, speak or make any body movements. All she could do was communicate by blinking, laughing and crying.

Over time, her situation improved and her speech returned. Instead of just lying in bed, she was able to sit in a wheelchair, and also to make  limited movements of her arms and one leg. However, due to joint contractures, she still cannot use her hands functionally, so she constantly needs someone else's care and help.

Before that, Isidora finished elementary music school and played the piano, then she went to study painting, which she did. Isidora lives for the day to take a paintbrush again or put her fingers on the piano keys. In order to achieve that, she needs all of us to help her.

Isidora needs funds for daily physical therapy, rehabilitation, occupational therapy, bowen technique, for  recovery abroad with the use of much more advanced techniques and technologies that are not available in Serbia, for orthopedic aids, for travelling and accommodation costs.
