raises funds for Vera Ilić  (2015).

Vera was born on 25 October 2015 prematurely in the 24th gestational week of pregnancy with a weight of only 700 gr.

Immediately after her birth, she was transferred to the Institute of Neonatology in Belgrade, where she spent five months. The bleeding caused severe damage to the brain, hydrocephalus, implantation of VP shunts and visual impairment - retinopathy. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy so she was prescribed regular neurological therapy.

After five months spent at the Institute of Neonatology, Vera began rehabilitation and intensive exercises, first at the Institute for Mother Child for six months, and then, due to the overall situation she was transferred to the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology Sokobanjska so that she could have an adequate treatment in addition to physical therapy by speech therapists, special educators and psychologists. She still has these treatments.

In addition to cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus, her condition is accompanied by other health problems. She regularly takes neurological therapy due to epileptic seizures that are a consequence of  brain bleeding grade IV. She can’t see very well on her right eye due to retinopathy and wears glasses.

In addition to all the problems that Vera is facing, she is a cheerful and smart girl, but she cannot express herself completely, she only speaks a few words, so she needs intensive speech therapy treatments. Vera is able to sit but she is not able to crawl due to the hypertonicity of the whole right side, and she is able to stand  with support.

In order to be able to walk and speak, Vera needs funds for orthopedic aids, physical therapy, tendon surgery according to Ulzibat - fibrotomy, neurorehabilitation with robotics abroad, treatment in spas, speech therapy treatments,  specialist examinations, surgery and rehabilitation in the country and abroad as well as for travelling and accommodation costs.

All these years, the costs of treatment financed her parents. From now on, Vera needs our help to make progress.
