Lana was born on 25 December 2012 in Novi Pazar. Shortly after her birth she was diagnosed with Dg. Q85.1 Sclerosis tuberosa (tuberous sclerosis, a multisystem disease caused by a mutation in a gene. It is a rare disease, incurable, extremely unpredictable because each patient is affected differently from very mild symptoms to complete dysfunction and severe mental retardation).

Lana has had epileptic seizures since birth, which doctors characterize as stomach cramps. She fainted for the first time in April 2013 and ended up at the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care, where it was determined that Lana also suffered from West syndrome (severe form of epilepsy).

In addition to the terrible diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis, epilepsy, Lana also has heart problems. Control 24-hour holter monitoring revealed that the heart was out of sinus rhythm. She spent a month and a half in the cardiology department at the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care in Belgrade.

She has all types of stimulation: physical, speech therapy and special education. Lana also has the great support and love from her younger brother.

None of the therapies that have been tried so far have improved the treatment, the epileptic seizures have not been stopped. The family was given hope by a clinic in Houston that specializes in this type of disease. Lana should go for medical examination and consultations related to the operation.

She needs funds for treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, speech therapy and special education treatments and for accommodation costs.
