raises funds for Leona Kovač (2020).

Leona was born on 28 July 2020 in Subotica. She was born prematurely in the 30th gestational week of pregnancy. Due to underdeveloped lungs and earlier birth, she was transferred to the Children's Hospital in Novi Sad.

After a few days, due to the infection with the hospital bacterium and the lack of oxygen in the brain, complications occurred: sepsis, meningitis, massive bleeding in the brain, periventricular leukomalacia and hydrocephalus.

At the age of two months, she was installed with a VP shunt that drains excess cerebrospinal fluid. Due to various complications, she spent four and a half months in the hospital.

After leaving the hospital, Leona went for physical treatments and rehabilitation. There was a slight improvement, but not enough.

At the age of eight months, Leona had her first epileptic seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy, which further slowed down her psychomotor development.

Regardless of everything she faces, Leona is a cheerful and smiling girl who shows how much of a fighter she is every day. Her older sister eagerly awaits the day when she will be able to play with her.

In order to progress in treatment, she needs funds for specialist examinations and diagnostics, physical, speech therapy and special education treatments, hippotherapy, craniosacral therapy, laboratory analyzes, medicines, supplements, vitamins, orthopedic aids and funds for travelling and accommodation costs.

Parents are not able to provide the funds for Leona’s treatment, so they are asking all humane people to help them as much as they can so that their little girl can grow up healthy and happy.
