raises funds for Jakov Kovačić (2020).

Jakov was born on 12 September 2020 in Belgrade with only 770 grams, as a surviving baby from a properly maintained and controlled twin pregnancy.

The problems started in the 22nd week of gestation, when the first twin's heartbeat stopped. Three weeks later, Jakov was born. Due to complications at childbirth, Jakov experienced trauma and  then his struggle for life began.

On the second day of his life, he was transferred to the Institute of Neonatology. He was intubated as an extremely immature newborn in a very difficult clinical condition.

Ultrasound of the brain showed the second grade bleeding, which after a few days worsened into fourth grade brain bleeding that caused the cyst.

When he was only seven days old, Jakov's kidneys began to fail. He also had neonatal convulsions. The brain ventricles continued to grow, pressing on the brain. He spent two months on mechanical ventilation and four months on oxygen therapy.

He was diagnosed with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (chronic lung damage that usually occurs in premature infants who received mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy due to acute respiratory risk).

Jakov spent six months in the hospital, three and a half he was in an incubator. The doctor's prognosis was bad, but Jakov showed how much of a fighter he was. He started breathing on his own, he learned to drink milk from a bottle.

After leaving the hospital, he immediately started intensive physical treatments. There is a change for the better, but not enough.

He needs funds for specialist and control examinations, diagnostics, physical therapy, speech therapy treatments and instruments, defectologist, typhologist, craniosacral therapy, orthopedic aids, therapeutic riding, laboratory analysis, supplements, vitamins, stem cell treatments, as well as for accommodation during treatment.
