Ilija was born on 20 July 2018 in Belgrade prematurely in the 8th month of pregnancy. Due to complications at birth and premature birth, Ilija was diagnosed with Dg.Q05.4 Spina bifida cum hydrocephalus non specificata (cleft spine with hydrocephalus).

Immediately after his birth, he was transferred to the Department of Neurology at the University Children's Clinic in Tirsova, where he was fitted with a VP shunt.

Ilija went for physical treatments and rehabilitation to the spa. There was a change for the better, but not enough. Ilija is still not able to walk.

Parents are eager to go abroad with Ilija for specialist examinations and diagnostics, in order to find a way to improve his health.

The costs of treatment abroad exceed his parents income, that’s why they ask all humane people to help them.

They need funds for specialist examinations and diagnostics abroad, medical devices as well as for travelling and accommodation costs.
