raises funds for Dušan Mirković (1993).

Dušan was born on 6 May 1993 in Donji Žabar (Republika Srpska).

He is always smiling and cheerful, he was involved in sports activities from an early age and was an excellent student. His love for animals prevailed and he successfully completed his veterinary studies in Novi Sad. After finishing his studies, he got a job as a veterinarian and started a family. He has been living in Novi Sad with his wife and two small children.

At the end of July 2021, Dušan had a terrible accident after jumping into the water at the swimming pool in Brčko, which resulted in a fracture of the cervical spine and paralysis of the arms and legs. On the same day, he underwent surgery in Tuzla, and it was determined that he had a fracture from the second to the fourth spinal vertebra with compression of the spinal cord. Despite the fact that the surgeons were satisfied with the operation, his condition was complicated by pneumonia and connection to a respirator. Doctors gave him little chance of surviving.

After that, he was transferred to the Emergency Center of Novi Sad, where the wonderful staff fought heroically for his life. After 40 days, he was successfully disconnected from the respirator, and then transferred to the Rehabilitation Clinic in Belgrade. The shoulder area strengthened, he began to move his arms and bend  at the elbows. The smile on his face and faith followed him from the beginning and over time they got stronger.

He needs funds for treatment, specialist examinations and diagnostics, stem cell treatments, neurorobotics, exercise at home, neurostimulator, orthopedic aids, medicines, supplements, medical supplies, physical therapy, as well as for travelling costs.

In order  to continue with his treatment and rehabilitation, Dušan needs us all!
