raises funds for Katarina Petrović (2019)

Katarina was born on 13 December 2019 in Belgrade, prematurely in the 32nd week of pregnancy.

Immediately after birth, she lost weight and due to her deteriorating condition, she was transferred to the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care  "Dr Vukan Cupic".

Ktarana’s condition worsened there, she had high blood pressure, sepsis, and doctors discovered that there was an enlargement of the brain ventricles, first-degree bleeding, brain cysts and a drastic drop in sodium and potassium. She was diagnosed with Bartter Syndrome.

It was also discovered that there is heart murmur as well as enlargement of the heart ventricle.

After a month and a half spent at the intensive care and neonatology department, she was discharged for home treatment with obligatory monitoring. Soon after she had an MRI which detected that there were problematic cysts and fluids in the brain, as well as hypertonia, hypotonia of the body axis, as well as torticollis - a problem with holding the head.

She is still  not able to sit or walk and it is very difficult for her to gain weight.

Funds are needed for surgery, daily rehabilitation, physical exercises, orthopedic aids, medications and supplements.
