Željko was born in the sixth month of pregnancy weighing only 730 grams. He was resuscitated immediately after birth, but he had massive bleeding in the brain, resulting in cerebral palsy.

Željko is visually impaired, speaks only a few words, has epilepsy, has difficulty with walking while standing and has severe mental retardation.

In order  to get up from his wheelchair and walk, according to the doctor's advice, he needs to undergo an operation at a private clinic.

Željko spent the first thirteen months alone in various hospitals, and after leaving the hospital he changed several foster families. He has been with the current foster family for almost eight years and will remain there. Željko is a cheerful, cuddly child and loves spending time with children and adults.

He needs funds for surgery, specialist examinations, kinesi and occupational therapy, orthopedic aids, spa rehabilitation, accommodation and travel expenses.
