Vuk is a smiling and brave boy, who was born prematurely at 35th week due to the amnion rupture. He was graded 9 at birth and seemed to be fine.

When he was two weeks old, the first-degree bleeding in the brain was detected by ultrasound, but later the bleeding subsided.

He had his first visit to a physiatrist when he was less than three months old, when it was noticed that he was turning his head more to one side. On that occasion, he was diagnosed with torticollis, strong  hypertonus of the extremities, and the following diagnoses were made: Dystonia, non specificata G249 and Plagiocephalia Q673. Later, he was also diagnosed with: Insufficientia evolutionis physiologicae alia R628, Disordines evolutionis specifici mixti F83, and according to the psychologist's findings, observation was necessary due to suspicion of other diseases or conditions Z038. The EEG examination revealed dysfunction in certain regions of the brain, including in the frontal part, which is responsible for motor skills, volitional processes, and sensory processing. Also, the speech pathologist determined that Vuk has non-integrated primary reflexes that greatly slow down development and can cause major problems when he grows up.

Vuk regularly exercises with a physiotherapist and goes to hydrotherapy. However, progress is very slow and he has a significant delay in development, and for that reason  he does not sit, crawl, or stand up. He spoke his first words, but he also needs the help of a speech therapist for proper pronunciation.

Until now, his parents have financed all the treatments and exercises, but as additional expenses are required that exceed their income, they are asking all generous people to help as much as they can.

Funds are necessary for kinesitherapeutes, occupational and physical therapies, speech therapy treatments, feeding therapy, defectological treatments and sensory integration, hydrotherapy, specialist examinations, genetic examination and analysis medicines, training for BDA therapies and spa treatment.
