The first signs of developmental delay appeared In the sixth month because he did not respond to his name or interact with the environment. At 18 months, he was at first diagnosed with F82 dyspraxia with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).

He was in a regular kindergarten for a year, but due to his inability to participate in regular activities, his parents were recommended to transfer him to a developmental group. At the age of four, he went  to the development group within the primary school for children with special needs.

He is now in the preschool group and has made progress as he completes tasks, interacts with educators, hyperactivity is reduced, and attention is focused in shorter time intervals.

He rarely shows emotions, and considering that despite many years of speech therapy treatment, his speech is completely underdeveloped, in moments of frustration and inability to express his wishes and needs, he is prone to self-harm. After detailed specialist examinations, he was finally diagnosed with F84 - Autism.

Since all types of therapies available in Serbia have been tried and no progress has been made in the development of speech, the last chance is to go abroad for a stem cell transplant.

Until now, his family has covered all the costs of Nikola's treatment, but for this type of therapy they need the help of humane people.

He needs funds for stem cell treatment, travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
