In 2011, Tatjana underwent interhemilaminectomy L5-S1 l.dex after caudae equinae syndrome G83.4, but the pain did not subside.

After the operation, she tried all pain relief therapies available in Serbia, analgesics, corticosteroids, therapy for neuropathic pain, antidepressants and physical therapy in several different institutions.

She was hospitalized several times with tests on the cause of the pain. Due to chronic pain syndrome and non-responsiveness to medical therapy, epidurolysis was attempted twice in 2021 with a FORA B catheter at Clinical Center Dragiša Mišović in Belgrade, which provided only a temporary improvement in symptoms.

She was diagnosed with M51.1 "Prolapsus disci intervertebralis lumbalis et disci interverterbralis aliorum cum radiculopathy" (Prolapse [prolapse] of lumbar and other intervertebral discs with nerve root disease [radiculopathy]), M51.3 Degeneratio disci intervertebralis alia, specificata" (Other marked degenerative change of the intervertebral disc) as well as G55.1 "Compressio radicum et plexuum nervorum ad disordines disci intervertebralis" (Pressure on roots and plexuses of nerves in disorders of the intervertebral disc).

Neurosurgery was suggested, but none of the neurosurgeons in Serbia could offer a solution. The only solution is decompression of the nerve roots, distraction and implantation of two prostheses in the lumbar spine at the L4-S1 level through a ventral approach.

An expert team of specialists from a clinic abroad reviewed the medical documentation and accepted operative care as soon as possible.

The amount needed for the treatment exceeds her family income. In addition to treatment costs, funds are also needed for travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment, physiotherapy, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, medicines, supplements and orthopedic aids.
