Marko was born after a properly maintained and controlled pregnancy, born in term, at birth he was graded 10, but certain deviations appeared already in early psychomotor development, and in the 18th month  he had epileptic seizures, for which he still has a  therapy. He was diagnosed with epilepsy (G40.9 Epilepsia, non specific), Mixed specific developmental disorders (F83 Disordines evolutionis specifici mixti), Ataxic cerebral palsy (G80.4 Paralysis cerebralis ataxica) and disease of muscle tone of the newborn (P94.8 Morbi toni musculorum neonati but and).

From the age of four, he began to walk independently, but unsteadily. Over the years, he has been undergoing rehabilitation several times, and since he was 18 months old, he has been attending intensive speech therapy and defectology treatments. Makes eye contact, responds to calls, uses pointing gestures, he is constantly in motion and moves from one activity to another.

After the analysis of clinical exome sequencing in February 2023 at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering of the University of Belgrade, a positive result was obtained with the detection of heterozygous genetic variants in certain genes that lead to the development of different types of autosomal dominant developmental and epileptic encephalopathy, so parents recommended visit to genetic counseling and segregation analysis.

Marko still doesn't speak, but he makes sounds and  communicates non-verbally with eye contact. He is behind in all developmental domains, so starting school is also delayed.

Regardless of the many difficulties he faces, Marko is a smiling, cheerful and brave boy. Until now, his family has financed the treatment  and exhausted its resources, for that reason they are asking all generous people to help with their donations so that Marko can continue his treatment abroad, which is very expensive.

He needs funds for therapy, genetic tests, orthopedic aids, diapers, speech therapy and speech-language pathology treatments, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs.
