raises funds for Jelena Stojković (1988)

Jelena suffers from chronic kidney disease of the 5th degree (N18.5 Morbus renalis chronicus, gradus 5), and since May 2022 she has been included in a chronic hemodialysis program due to the development of terminal renal insufficiency as part of hereditary nephritis.

According to her, she was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of 12, when she was examined at the Institute for Mother and Child due to repeated urinary infections caused by E.coli, when a kidney biopsy was performed, and the PH result indicated that it was hereditary nephritis. She has known about chronic kidney failure since 2019 after her second childbirth. In December 2022, she was hospitalized at the MMA Nephrology Clinic for pre-transplantation treatment for a potential cadaveric kidney transplant, and during the examination she was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. After additional examinations by a cardiologist, it was concluded that there are no contraindications for a potential cadaveric transplant, and that a definitive decision on suitability for a cadaveric transplant will be made after complete examinations.

Jelena needs an urgent kidney transplant, so she wants to try abroad. In contact with a clinic abroad, she received a positive response that they accepted to do the transplantation, but Jelena is not able to finance those costs, so she is asking all humane people to help her, as much as they can.

Funds are needed for kidney transplantation and the costs of hospital treatment abroad, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
