raises funds for Nikola Milovanović (1986)

In February 2016, both of Nikola's kidneys failed, so the central venous catheter was implanted at the CHC Kosovska Mitrovica as an emergency intervention and then a fistula at Medical Military Academy(MMA). For Nikola, who was 30 years old at that time, had a wife and a son, the only way to save his life was hemodialysis every three days.

Immediately after finding out that Nikola was forced to undergo hemodialysis, the father and mother were tested when it was determined that his mother could be a potential donor. After extensive tests at MMA, the transplant was performed in January 2017. Although both Nikola and his mother had an ideal match,  only three days after the operation, there were complications that followed one after the other. Despite all the doctors' efforts to save the kidney, the transplant was declared unsuccessful on  6 June 2017 and another operation was performed to remove the transplanted kidney. From that day until today, Nikola is forced to undergo hemodialysis three times a week.

Despite the fact that the transplant failed, Nikola did not lose hope that one day a solution to his problem would be found. In the meantime, he became the father of another boy. Since Nikola no longer has any compatible donors, transplantation abroad is the only chance for a normal life. Finally, a chance arose when he received a positive response from a doctor in Minsk, Belarus  to perform a transplant at their clinic.

He needs funds for preparatory examinations and tests, transplantation, therapies and analyses, medicines and supplements, control examinations after transplantation, translation of medical documents, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
