In 2014, due to a sudden deterioration of her health, Ivona went into a diabetic ketoacidotic coma, when she was resuscitated due to cardiac arrest, after which she went into a vigil coma, from which, unfortunately, she has not come out yet. She is completely paralyzed and immobile. Her hands are clenched, her head deviates to the right side and she has been bedridden for 9 years, which is hard for her and her parents, who do their best to help her.

The fact that they can't talk to her hurts her parents, they would be happy if they could hear what was bothering her, if she could tell them anything, instead they can only see that sometimes a tear slips down her face. They are not sure if she understands the orders, because she is unable to answer to or show that she can understand. Sometimes she can only control the head, otherwise she is completely passive and is completely dependent on the help of her parents.

She has a number of diagnoses, the most severe of which is spastic (convulsive) paralysis of all limbs (G82.4 Tetraplegia spastica), followed by type 2 diabetes, a thyroid problem, and cardiovascular problems.

She was treated in the country and had rehabilitation treatments, but they did not give any results. After that, she is being treated at home. Until now, all the medical expenses have been covered by her family, but now they need help.

Funds are needed for treatment abroad, medicines, physical and other long-term rehabilitation treatments, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
