Mihajlo was diagnosed with a malignant tumour of the cerebellum (C71.6 Neoplasma malignum cerebelli lat.sin.)

The symptoms of the disease appeared within a very short period of one week in the form of a severe headache with occasional vomiting, loss of balance and peripheral vision, and then a crisis of consciousness, after which specialist and diagnostic examinations revealed the existence of an expansive lesion in the left cerebral hemisphere. An emergency operation at the University Clinical Center of Serbia, Neurosurgery Department, removed the tumour, and the histopathological findings showed that it was a  paediatric type diffuse high-grade glioma, NOS. The medical advisory board for CNS tumours decided that further diagnostic procedures are needed and that treatment continues with radiation and chemotherapy.

Mihajlo is an extremely nice, energetic and charismatic boy and a little football player of the club Milutinac-Zemun!

The continuation of the treatment is planned in one of the foreign health centres, where the genetic analysis of the tumour would also be done, and the family searched for help with the requests for the continuation of the treatment in many European and world centres and found the University Hospital in Heidelberg and the University Clinic Tübingen in Germany. In order to give Mihajlo the best chance for overcoming the disease, he will need expensive treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy or proton therapy. It is necessary for Mihajlo to go abroad for treatment as soon as possible, because time is essential for this type of disease.

Funds are needed for continuing treatment abroad, specialist examinations, genetic analyses, laboratory analyses, drugs and supplements, surgery, immunotherapy, making a personalized vaccine, as well as for travel and accommodation costs.
