raises funds for Maksim Radivojević (2020).

Maksim is the first child, born in term after an orderly maintained pregnancy. Due to muscle hypotonia, smaller head circumference, minor facial dysmorphisms, one-sided furrow of four fingers and the overall characteristic gestalt at an early age, a genetic test was performed, which diagnosed Down's syndrome, unmarked - Q90.9 Down's syndrome, non specificatum (trisomy 21 with Robertson translocation between two chromosome 21). Secondary diagnoses are: farsightedness (H520 Hypermetropia), Astigmatism (H52.2 Astigmatismus), congenitally reduced muscle tone of the newborn (P942 Hypotonia musculorum neonati congenita) and heart chamber septal defect (Q21.0 Defectus septi ventriculorum cordis) which was operated on.

He acquired motor development with a delay, he started walking independently at the age of two. He learned  first syllables at 8 months, but he did not acquire any words. Physical treatment started at 2 months and was mostly carried out at home. Since he was 11 months old, he has been involved in speech therapy and defectology treatments 3 times a week. At the age of 9 months, he was included in the Doman program run by his parents. Comprehension is at the level of the daily repetitive tasks he performs. He expresses his needs with a demonstrative gesture.

In the future, it is planned  for Maksim to continue with physical, speech therapy, somatopedic and defectology treatments, as well as with the Doman program. As Maxim is quite behind in cognitive development, further neurological tests and treatment abroad are planned.

Funds are needed for Doman method treatments, speech therapy and defectology treatments, somatopedic classes, physical treatments, rehabilitation, specialist examinations, ophthalmological aids, treatment abroad, travel  and accommodation expenses during the treatment.
