raises funds for Dušan Marković (2018)

Dušan was born after the first, controlled, pregnancy. He was born a week before his due date. Due to the physiological murmur on the heart, he was regularly monitored. Motor development proceeded smoothly.

At the age of one, his parents noticed that Dušan had no demonstrative gestures, eye contact, and that he did not respond to his name. The paediatrician referred them to further specialist examinations. At the Clinic for Neurology and Psychiatry for Children and Youth, he was diagnosed with childhood autism (F84.0 Autismus puerilis). During hospitalisation, he had an EEG examination, which showed mild epileptiform changes. He was included in defectology and speech therapy treatments as well as in a peer group in kindergarten, which gave a boost, and Dušan now responds to his name and carries out simple commands, while his speech and language are still underdeveloped.

In order to progress and develop his speech, Dušan needs continuous speech therapy treatments and therapies.

Funds are needed for specialist examinations, speech therapy treatments, ABA treatments, neurofeedback, laboratory analyses, psychological treatments, music therapy, and hippotherapy.
