raises funds for Minja Perzić (2021).

Minja was prematurely born in the 32nd week due to chronic inflammation of the placenta. After birth, she was intubated due to insufficient lung development. Two weeks after birth she was diagnosed with cystic periventricular leukomalacia. Cystic changes were observed in the brain parenchyma bilaterally. In the fourth month, her parents noticed that Minja was looking to the side, so the specialist examinations confirmed convergent strabismus in the left eye. At the 6th month, a delay in psychomotor development was observed thus she was included in physical treatments.

At the Clinic for Neurology and Psychiatry for Children and Youth, she was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy (G80.0 Paralysis cerebralis spastica quadriplegica) and specific movement disorder (F82 Disordo evolutionis functionis motoricae specificus).

Minja still does not sit independently, does not crawl or walk. She is mobile with the help of a wheelchair pushed by another person, while head and body control is insufficient. There are elements of cerebral visual impairment. She can only say a few words with meaning. In all activities of daily life and self-care, she is completely dependent on the help and care of other people.

Minja is a great fighter and thanks to numerous therapies, she has made significant progress as well as a big shift on the cognitive level, which is why she needs to continue with intensive treatments.

Until now, her parents have financed the costs of treatment  and have exhausted all the funds. Considering that the exercises give significant progress, her family appeals to all humane people to help Minja on her way to progress.

Funds are needed for speech therapy and defectology treatments, physical treatments, rehabilitation, botulinum therapy, specialist examinations, metabolic tests, orthopedic aids as well as BDA training.
