raises funds for Relja Savin (2021).

Relja is a twin, born after the first, controlled pregnancy ended prematurely by caesarean section in the 36th week.

After birth, convulsions were observed, thus he was transferred to the neonatology department of the University Children’s Hospital Tiršov, where he was treated for the next 8 days. In the 7th month, in the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology,  he was diagnosed with mixed specific developmental disorders (F83 Disordines evolutionis specifici mixti).

The MR findings, from the 13th  month  indicated hypoxic ischemic leukoencephalopathy, most likely a perinatal pattern in terms of premature risk factors. In the 20th month, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (G80.1 Paralysis cerebralis spastica diaplegica).

Relja partially follows the orders, utters less than 10 meaningful words. He reacts with a smile when called by name. He comes to the four-legged position and crawls, but not sufficiently coordinated. He can get in a sitting position for a short time.

In order to be able to walk, it is necessary to perform a selective rhizotomy (SDR) operation in the USA.

Given that the mentioned operation requires significant funds, his family appeals to all generous people to help with their donations so that Relja can continue his treatment and walk.

Funds are needed for rhizotomy surgery, speech therapy and defectology treatments, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, orthopaedic aids, physical therapy, and for travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
