Nikola was born after the first, high-risk and controlled pregnancy, in the 35th gestation week by emergency caesarean section due to foetal asphyxia, complicated by glucose intolerance and amnion, with a BMI of only 1600 gr. After birth, he was transferred to the intensive care unit, and the neurological findings indicated variable muscle tone with slower developmental reactions. He was diagnosed with neonatal hepatitis, cholestasis syndrome as part of asphyxia, pneumonia, sepsis and heart defect, epi-seizures, hearing and vision impairment. The doctors barely fought for his life, he was treated and examined in several renowned clinics in Belgrade, he was rehabilitated at the Institute for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology.

Nikola is a multiply disabled child with following diagnoses: other generalized epilepsy and epilepsy syndromes (G40.4 Epilepsia generalisata alia et syndromata epileptica), spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy (G80.0 Paralysis cerebralis spastica quadriplegica), severe mental retardation - behavioral disorder was not mentioned (F729- Retardatio mentalis gravis), asthma unspecified (J45.9 Asthma, non specificatum), visual impairment, unspecified, binocular (H54.9 Amblyopia binocularis, non specificatus), urinary incontinence, unspecified (R32 Incontinentia urinae, non specificata), movement disorder both eyes, unspecified (H51.9 Anomalia motuum binocularium, non specificata), sensorineural hearing loss, unilateral (H90.4 Surditas sensorineuralis unilateralis), strabismus, unspecified (H50.9 Strabismus, non specificatus), other secondary laterally twisted spine (M41 .5 Scoliosis secundaria alia).

Funds are needed for diapers, medical consumables, medicines, supplements, and for orthopaedic aids.
