Veljko was diagnosed with basic kidney disease in 1983 (N18.5 Morbus renalis chronicus, grade 5) and from February 1999, Veljko was in a chronic hemodialysis treatment program, after which a living related kidney transplantation was performed, when Veljko's sister was the donor.

In the post-transplantation course, there were a number of complications and basal cell carcinoma of the left upper arm, which was operated on.

In 2001, a coil biopsy was performed, which indicated acute kidney rejection. In 2015, he was examined and treated at the nephrology clinic for suspected giardiasis. The disease was progressing, so since March 2018, Veljko is on the hemodialysis program again, 3 times a week.

Since Veljko no longer has related and compatible donors, it is necessary to undergo a cadaveric kidney transplantation at a clinic abroad.

Given that this type of treatment requires considerable funds, Veljko needs help from all generous people, he needs their donations.

Funds are needed for kidney transplantation, specialist examinations, therapies, translation costs of medical documents, medicines, travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
