Ilija felt the first symptoms of the disease in 2009 such as problems with diplopia that lasted for about 2 weeks, after which they subsided. A new relapse of the disease occurred in 2014, when he was treated with pulse corticosteroid therapy at the neurology clinic, after which he was diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis (G35 Sclerosis Multiplex).

The first epileptic seizure happened in 2015 when he was treated at the Military Medical Academy. Since then, Eftil was included in the therapy and he was diagnosed with epilepsy (G40 epilepsy). From time to time there was a tonic spasm of the left extremities and a series of epileptic seizures with a prolonged disturbance of the state of consciousness, and since 2021 the seizures have occurred every two months. Despite many years of treatment, the progression of the disease has not stopped.

In order to prevent further progression of the disease, Illija has to undergo stem cell treatment, which is carried out in a clinic abroad that has many years of experience and positive results in the treatment of this disease.

For this type of treatment, it is necessary to provide significant financial resources.

He needs funds for stem cell transplantation (HSCT), specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
