In the adolescent period, Nikola was diagnosed with scoliosis of the spine (Scoliosis thoracolumbalis), which is why he lives with pain in the sacroiliac region of the left side of the body, especially in the left leg.

He had a surgery fusion of An L5-S1, as well as two surgeries where a part of the implant was taken out and a duraplasty was performed.

Operative treatment is indicated, which includes percutaneous fusion of the left sacroiliac joint and open correction of the existing scoliosis with fixation of the spinal column to the pelvis.

Funds are needed for operative treatment, physical therapy, specialist examinations, control examinations, laboratory analyses, supplements, medicines, orthopedic aids, medical consumables, and costs for medical transport.
