In March 2023, after feeling pain in the right arm, Mateja was diagnosed with malignant tumor of the scapula and long bones of the arm (C40.0 Neoplasma malignum scapulae et ossium longorum extremitatis superioris).

After diagnostic examinations, chemotherapy was carried out, and in July of the same year, after a biopsy, the right arm was amputated because biopsy indicated a high-grade osteosarcoma.

For the further course of treatment, it is necessary to purchase an orthopedic aid, a mechanoelectric upper arm prosthesis, which would greatly facilitate Mateja's independent functioning.

Funds are needed for orthopedic aids, specialist examinations, medicines, supplements.
