In May 2023, Nenad suffered a serious injury at work when a metal structure weighing 9 tons fell over him.

As a result of severe physical injuries to the head, neck vertebrae and left forearm, he was diagnosed with the following: T90.5 Sequelae laesionis traumaticae intracranialis; S06.5 Subdural traumatic haemorrhage; G91.3 Hydrocephalus post-traumatic, non-specific; G00.8 Bacterial meningitis alia; T90.5 Sequelae lesions traumaticae intracranialis; S06.2 Lesio traumatica cerebri diffusa; S06.1 Edema cerebri traumaticum, F07.8 Disordines personae et disordines morum organici propter morbum, laesionem et dysfunctionem cerebri alii; F07.2 Post-commotion cerebri syndrome; S52.2 Fracture corporis ulnae; S12.2 Fracture of cervical vertebrae aliae specificae; N30.0 Acute cystitis; G81.1 Spastic hemiplegia.

He was treated at the Clinical Center of Serbia where he had a total of 13 interventions in the brain, bacterial meningitis and sepsis of the left lung.

After 7 months of fighting for his life, Nenad finally gets a chance to fight for his recovery.

After the indicated physical therapy at home, now he speaks with difficulty, while due to the loss of the right side of his body, he moves with the help of a wheelchair. To carry out transfers, as well as in most activities of daily life and self-care, he needs the help of another person.

Nenad is at a rehabilitation clinic whose costs of services are very high.

Funds are needed for neurorobotic rehabilitation and physical therapy, specialist examinations, medicines, supplements, orthopedic aids, psychological and speech therapy treatments.
