Immediately after birth, he was hospitalized at the neonatal intensive care and therapy department at General hospital in Novi Sad.

After a specialist examination in 2023, Mateo was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (G800 Paralysis cerebralis spastica quadriplegica) as well as mixed developmental disorders (F82 Disordo evolutions functionis motoricae specicius).

Since September 2024, he has been having physical treatments. The costs of these treatments are too high so his family appeals to all generous people to help with their donations in order to provide needed funds for the treatment.

Funds are needed for treatment abroad, operative treatment, physical therapy, Botox treatments, as well as for transportation costs during the treatment.
