In April 2018, Janko was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (C91.0 Leukaemia lymphoblastica acuta), while in October of the same year he was diagnosed with late combined relapse.

Treatment started according to the ALL IC BFM protocol in 2009 for intermediate risk. The therapy ended at the end of 2020.

In September 2024, treatment  started according to the ALL-IC REL 2022 protocol. TMCH was indicated.

After consultation with the doctors of the University Clinic in Bologna, it was decided that Janko should undergo a bone marrow transplant.

To continue Janko's treatment abroad, significant financial resources are necessary, which his family is unable to provide independently, so the help of all generous people’s  donations is needed.

Funds are needed for continued treatment abroad, specialist examinations, therapies, medicines, medical aids, bone marrow transplantation, rehabilitation, travel and accommodation expenses during the treatment.
