At birth, Nataša was diagnosed with dystrophic bullous epidermolysis (Q81.2 Epidermolysis bulossa hereditary dystrophica), better known as "butterfly children", which is a severe and rare congenital chronic disease, the pathophysiological basis of which is a mutation of the gene that encodes type 7 collagen.

Until now, Nataša had numerous sequelae of diseases: pseudosyndactyly of the hands and feet, microstomia, tooth loss, asthenia, extensive scarring lesions on the skin, inability to swallow solid food and tablets due to scarring changes in the mucous membrane of the mouth and esophagus, malnutrition. Due to the deformity of her hands and feet, it is difficult for her to move independently, and do other numerous functions necessary for independent living. From 2007 to 2010, she had operations on her hands (finger synechiae) on 4 occasions. On several occasions in the period from 2022-2023, she was operated on due to a tumor of the skin of the right lower leg (squamous cell carcinoma), which caused the leg amputation. Due to the increased needs of the body for nutrients and poor absorption due to damage to the mucous membrane, Nataša needs supplemental therapy and a high-protein diet, and because of chronic anemia, she uses iron supplements.

Nataša needs daily medical care and bandages several times a day to prevent secondary infections, heal blisters, wounds and skin changes. Because of the complications of changes in the skin, frequent surgical interventions, medical controls by surgeons, oncologists, dermatologists and hematologists are necessary.

All generous people are asked to help with their donations in order to provide funds for the continuation of treatment and necessary therapy.

Funds are needed for the purchase of necessary medical consumables and medical cosmetics, for medicines and supplements, for medical and orthopedic aids, operative treatment, specialist examinations and laboratory analyses, as well as for travel expenses for treatment.
