In March 2021, Vesna went for a routine check-up which discovered changes and a malignant tumor of the upper outer quadrant of the breast (C50.4 Neoplasma malignum mammae, quadrantis superolateralis).

Operative treatment was performed in May 2021, and in June of the same year, chemotherapy started with AC in the IV series and Taxol in the XII series, followed by postoperative radiation therapy lasting 19 cycles.

At a regular checkup in March 2024, liver changes were detected, the disease returned in an even more aggressive form, and PET CT confirmed multiple FDG avid changes corresponding to active secondary deposits (C78.7 Neoplasma malignum hepatis metastaticum). A biopsy was performed, followed by a rebiopsy of metastatic changes in the liver on January 13, 2025.

In order to prevent further progression of the disease, Vesna has to continue treatment with immunotherapy at a private clinic as soon as possible.

Given that this type of treatment involves significant financial resources, she needs the help from all generous people’s donations.

Funds are needed for immunotherapy, specialist examinations and laboratory analyses.
