In February 2024, Jelena was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease with biopsy proven nephrocalcinosis. She is on dialysis three times a week for 4 hours, which she tolerates very poorly due to other diseases, because in addition to kidney failure, Jelena also has osteoporosis with multiple fragility (pathological fractures), cirrhosis of the liver, intra and extrahepatic primary sclerosing cholangitis in the context of possible Crohn's disease, umbilical hernia and severe malnutrition.

Considering that dialysis is very difficult for Jelena, she urgently needs a kidney transplant, for which she received a positive opinion from a hospital in Turkey, for which she needs significant financial resources, which she is unable to provide on her own, so she is appealing to all generous people who are able to help her collect the necessary funds as soon as possible.

Funds are needed for kidney transplantation, specialist examinations and analyses, travel expenses and accommodation costs during the treatment.
