Vanja was born in 2007. The first signs that something went wrong were that little Vanja had not heard anything in the first fifteen days of her life. She began to react to sounds only two weeks after birth. When she was two years old, because of the slow development of speech and specific communication, her parents took her to the Institute for Psychophysical Disorders and Speech Pathology where autism was diagnosed.

Vanja attends regular elementary school and acquires successfully the curriculum. However, she gets tired easily, and after a third class she loses her attention and concentration. Although her communication with her peers is scarce, her classmates give to her great support.

Vanja needs supplements to improve her condition but her family is unable to afford them.
